Book Review: On the Road with Bob Dylan by Larry "Ratso" Sloman

If you are interested in de-mystifying the myth of Dylan, if you would like to get close to one of the most interesting incarnations of The Man, if you have ever dreamed about what it might be like to date Joan Baez, hang out with Joni Mitchell as she boozes it up and reminisces about her drug bust, and many other ESSENTIAL ephemera to piecing together the jigsaw puzzle of post war American popular culture, you must run out and read this book immediately.

You may know and love Larry "Ratso" Sloman for his work as editor of the National Lampoon from something like '83 to '87. or you may be a follower of his work with Howard Stern or about Houdini. One thing's for sure, this guy wrote the ultimate book on Dylan. Any incarantion of Dylan, and all at the same time. You understand so much more about yourself after reading this book it's not even funny. Truly a masterpiece.

Sam Sheppard also wrote a book about this Rolling Thunder Review. It sucked. So that means Larry Sloman is a better writer than Sam Sheppard, and that's quite an accomplishment.
